"Search" functions erratically

I try to make a forum search with "kia" as the searched word and the system does not accept the word. I have this message:

1. Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.
   The following words are either very common, too long, or too short and were not included in your search : kia

Any idea why is this happens?

You must make a query with 4 characters or more. This is due to the database settings. If we indexed 3 letter words the database would be massive.

You can use Google to search for 3 letter terms, i.e.

Google

[.: JaCkPoT :.]

If your slightly more specific which in turn would make the search term longer than 3 letters then you may find what your looking for.

Say for example maybe you want to type;
"Kia air conditioning unit".
