Sent pm's

Been sending a few pm's and receiving replies ok.

Its just that any pm I've sent to someone isn't showing up in my sent folder. Received amount goes up everytime I get one but sent doesn't change the total pm's at all.

Is that normal?

In your control panel you can enable this

Edit Options - > Messaging & Notification

When sending private messages the forum can make a copy of the message in your Sent Items folder.Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent-Items folder by default
