just for people to ask about problems, and symptoms.

i know you can Google most illnesses but most want paid for a suggestion.

if we can save 1 life we can be proud.

I think the idea is a good idea for very minor ailments like toothache and headaches but then most folk already know how to treat these.
It might be a good place to highlight things that people should know about like doing testicular or breast checks, meningitis symptoms. healthy eating.

The problem is that members might take the mickey out of others for some of their symptoms or could totally misdiagnose symptoms and give members bad advice.
I don't think there is any substitute for seeing a real doctor. they train for years to try and make accurate diagnosis and they also you're past medical history to refer too aswell...

have a look round DK, you will soon feel better

as soon as possable and ask for an "Emergency labotomy"

When you get back from the hospital, immediacy, return your computer
back to PC World for a full refund, as you are too dense to learn ANYTHING off DK, so therefore not intelligent enough to use a computer

again its something i suggested (prob on another forum though)

i have a few medical conditions ie

sleep apnoea
endometriosis

to name a couple and i would find it helpful to talk to others with these conditions. sleep apnoea has been diagnosed recently for me so still kinda new to that. although i did join a forum for it.

Good idea,but, what if someone took a suggestion as Gospel and made their ailment worse. Would DK then be liable?, would the poster be liable?. I think you would deffo have to write up some form of "Disclaimer" at the start of the thread to safeguard DK and members that post their experiences. This is an after thought, cause I've already suggested something to someone

I would counter that if anybody acted on advice given by some random poster on a predominantly technology based forum, then they DESERVE to be sick
