Last saga is one with installing connect 4 unit from a 2021 xtrail to a 2015 x-trail (pre facelift), new flat bottomed steering wheel and new instrument cluster, for the steering wheel buttons to work correctly.
basic problem, keys will not accept rewriting even with consult iii+ in a dealer, to unlock to new unit, which for the time being operates with a trick (when engine starts, put in reverse then click menu on unit. If this is done twice unit works with CarPlay and everything!
