    Hello from Texas

Hello everyone my name is jessie I work in the Texas oilfields running a laydown machine. This unit is mounted on a 2008 International Workstar tandem axle extended frame truck with an extended cab sleeper. The truck has two hydraulic planetary hoist (Winches) one rated at 50,000 lbs with 3/4' wirerope 175' long and the second (Winch) is 25,000 lbs with 9/16" wire rope 300 foot long. The truck lifts and lowers a 32 foot long piece of 16" pipe cut in half long ways so that drilling rig drill pipe can be put in it and either picked up and taken to the rig floor from the pipe racks or taken away and lowered down to the pipe racks as they come out of the hole with it after drilling the hole one 30 foot joint at a time until its all out. I run all this inside a climate controlled workcab that has a variable speed foot throttle pedal to increase rpm's for the hydraulic pto/pump for speed and strength. I have included a link to a video showing one in action https://youtube.com/shorts/IjY6wu2K8...d1ofaqtvvXcLNM
There are two operators and many jobs last between 24 to 48 hours straight. We take turns running anywhere from 6 to 8 hours each. Pipe sizes range from 2 3/8" 30 foot long to 18 5/8" 50 foot long as well at drill collars as large as 12" diameter almost solid steel except 2" hollow down the middle approx. weight up to 8000 - 10,000 lbs per joint.. Oh I also work 20 to 30 hours a week as a network administrator / HIPAA Compliance officer for an Home Healthcare company. Always trying to figure out how to get 36 hours out of a 24 hour day.....
