Hi forum-goers
I'm a self employed shop tech. Got a bad back so I try not to get into too much heavy stuff these days.
Been in the trade about 15 years, started working on cars since before my teens (let's say 25 years or so)
I was in love with Haynes manuals as a kid
Up til now I've tuned carb'd engines and rattler turby-D's of days gone by, fuel injected motorbikes and dabbled with tuner studio on a turbo converted mazda with Speeduino management.
My personal car is a Volvo S60 2.5T (P2) which has had a shoddy flash map on it since I bought it 2 years ago and I would like to do something about that!
Planning to go down the routes advised the Volvo gods over on SwedeSpeed for further upgrades (TD04HL-19T, better FMIC and piping, R injectors)
Then hoping to custom tune for 300-325hp. Forums seem to say more more than that and internal work becomes a dead cert.
Anyway, hoping to learn as much as I can about the ancient ME7 that's in there - and work out whether it's just better to chuck it out and go standalone!
Cheers
Bisto
