WHY OH WHY ARE YOU STILL TRYING TO USE EVOCAM ON THE DM800 DONT KNOW IF I HAVE MADE IT CLEAR ENOUGH BUT IT DOES NOT WORK ON THE DM800

Evocam AUs for me aswell.

Initially i could only get mgcam to Au, but it made the box very unstable, freezing every 10 minutes or so. So I persisted with evocamd 2.17c and all is well.

Well have tried on both my dm800's to get evocam to AU but just does nothing.

What image are you using and where are you putting your files

What did you finally do to get evocam to AU

This box belongs to a friend who has no pc or dreambox knowledge!

When I originally set it up the only image I had any luck with was Gemini, I think it was 3.5. The only emu I could get to work was mgcam.

After the keyroll in November his box went FTA so I have had it back to sort.

First thing I did was ftp the 29/11 rom7 fix into the scce folder and it did indeed AU. But I still couldn't get any version of evocam to work.

As the keys rolled again on 17/12 I wasn't happy to leave it running on a mgcam because of the freezing every few minutes. I then decided to go back to scratch and start again.
I have put the latest Gemini image on, 3.9
I then copied over a cables.xml file so it would scan. Then ftp'd a keys folder and the latest rom files (7, 10, 11) to the scce folder.
I then tried manually installing evocamd 2.12. Although the little "N" on the display info would go green the channel would never clear.

I then used the blue button to go to the Gemini server to download evocamd 2.17. This automatically installed itself and when I switch to SS1 it cleared immediately.

So you can see that I haven't really done anything special apart from blowing it all away and starting again.
So glad I persisted as the box was almost unwatchable running mgcam.

what what keys folder and rom files did you copy over have you got a copy of them

it dose work had probs with it at the start not sure what i did to get it to work i also found mgcamd was very slow to work on gemini but that was just with test i did dont have it set for cable any more so cant try it at the min

i had trouble doing 1 of these for a friend before and i found that the problem i had was a setting needed to be changed in camd.cfg for the evo to au . i set it to 0pure and that made it work for me and alot of patience.

really struggling to get evocamd working on PLI jade3.

i would even go for a newer version of mgcamd as my is stuttering every 10mins, any links to one that would be able to install onto my image>

Is it ok to buy a DVB-C tuner for it?
What do i need to do to be able to use it? What image is best?

Can someone guide me please

I have flashed a DM500C before with DK1.1 image - works great

I just wanted to be able to use the HD box in the same way
