DM600 Despirate DM600-C

This has to be my last try to get my 600 working. I just don't understand why something that appears so simple, getting the POS to work, is such a problem. Simply put I can only see FTA channels. On occasion I've been able to get working images that have then failed at key-roll and never worked again. I had a G-Spot image that worked for a time then stopped and never worked again. My box has spent more time not working than doing what I bought it for.

I've tried a number of forums (and this is the effing last) and have concluded that either I'm more stupod that I thought or trying to be too clever!

There are two things that I would like to do:
1) Be able to build a repeatable image that will decode all channels.

I've been trying to get help on this on another forum (LIGHT Forum The place to be) - still no joy. It looks like I'm following the right steps but nothing is working!

2) Understand how the relationship between the feed (signal), softcam, and cardsharing works.

I've felt that me not understanding how everything "hangs together" is part of the reason that I can't get the DM working as it should.

stay with it, you are already most of the way there by the sounds of it. You seem to have been able to put and image on the box. Some are more user friendly than others. The CLi is very user friendly.
You just need to FTP to the box to put in the new roms, you will need to know how to do this as it will be needed from time to time. There are plenty of good guides to be found on here.

The reason you can't get your dm600c working is that you need to copy these files to var/keys and var/scce rather than the satan keybundle.

Did you manage to get it working?

If not, there is a PLI Iolite image floating around somewhere that has the updated roms included. Just flash that, blindscan, set channel to Sly Sports 1 and after a few minutes it should work.

Failing that, I could probably backup my pli Jade image.

flash erase your box to digital kaos v1.1

ftp (i use cute ftp) the keys to var/keys and the NEW roms to var/scce (found a couple of posts up)

That image isn't for the DM600C, only the DM500C as far as I know. Use the PLI Jade image for the DM600
