Second hand DM600 q's (in Brum)

Well, it's ongoing..hehhe

For some reason, the DM600 is as slow as anything, downloading kbs is taking ages! I had the same problem FTPing. So far, 12% of evocamd, and it's been on 15 minutes!

Have you ever heard of a box being really slow before?

Is it because I have no HD in it? What is the internal memory without HD?

ive never ftp to be like that before its nothing to do with it having no hard drive in it
a cam at the most is only 180 kb it should do it instantly

Yep weird indeed.

I have checked everything and all's fine with everything else: router, ethernet cable, DHCP etc. It's definately a DM600 problem...

have you got the keys and scce folders to go into /usr/
what actually happend is when you reboot the box when the keys and scce folders are put in /usr/ they are symlinked to /var/

Ok, well I have evocamd on the box now. what should the settings be in softcam setup?

The keys and scee folders I used were from here:

Ok, well, they are on, svocamd 2.17b is on and I have left it on SS1 for a while now (turning over to SS2, then back to one as I have read), but still nothing.

What must the settings be in the softcam setup menu? Do I have to select evocamd for everything?
