DM500 Black & White Startup.

When i start my DM500 up for the first time ach day it is usually black and white. All the connections are fine i plug in and out a few times and evntually almost randomly it goes colour sometimes even when i am nto fiddling with the cables. Is this common and will a re-flash likely fix it?

Hi. Check AV settings to ensure that S-video has not been set by default.
Select Menu,Setup,System Settings,AV Settings

Color Format should be CVBS or RGB

If is is not then press the left / right arrow keys to toggle between CVBS,RGB,S-Video,YpbPr.

If S-video is already the selection then it will show black & white.

Colour format should be CVBS or RGB. RGB is usually better.

The TV System should show PAL. If not set it to PAL.

Press green button to save.

Press exit repeatedly to return from menu.

Hi,

I was the same problem 4 months ago when I received my DM to dvb seller with the original image.

I sent nemesis 4.2 and the DM work fine.

Hopefully your scart connection.
