      mtv ive tried a different 12v adapter no change.. very close to throwing it against the wall..

        when u click connect and nothing happens when you turn on the power, the flash chip might have problem. I have about 4 boxes having this problem. They could be using a wrong flash chip. I got mine repaired by sending back to the supplier

          Ya, both ends may b female but it may not b a 'NULL MODEM' cable. It may b a comport "serial" cable. Pls chk, dont b lazy and assume what you bot is what u expect!!! The dealers may mix-up with their envelop n names with d wrong cable.

                  right guys turns out the null modem cable i bought was a dud..just bought another one and its it the middle of flashing now...is that all i need to do now...thanks for all your help..
