hi uu161 and all, i have just gotten a dm800hd set. i am very new to this set so was playing around with it. i came across the plugin-in menu and saw the SGSH Channel Updater plugin. I didn't know what was it, so i press "ok" to check out the item, when I saw the next menu was "+exec" i knew it was trying to do something, so i desperately press "Exit".

but the box dunno why continue to exec the update. Now i think my box is screwed, it keeps showing the "starting newnigma2.to" screen and my bouquet list is empty now.

i thought that this update requires network so i plugged my network cable into the box to my router and try to repeat the same mistake steps i did. nothing works.

now the box date time is set to jan 1 2000 also. can anyone help me? i just want to get the channels back! the box is new!

1)without network it will remove all ur bouquet list that very normal without a network and it was what i want for future anti dealer and seller use

        2) once plug ur network cable make sure DB did get network
then run the plugin again it will reboot.

3)after boot in if last set channel didn't show up simple press any sh valid channel numder like 101 it should show up or press bouquet list and press green button (satellites) for services

        4) plugin won't reset date and time and others setting nowdays . datetime can set by ts panel etc
newnigma2 i can't rememeber well only test up once.
i still prefer to use Cnigma openpli

As what uu161 mention, this plugin will clear all yr bouquet listing with or without internet connection and then will download the latest bouquet to be installed to yr box before it restarts.
If u r using a different bouquet, after the restart it will show the "starting newnigma2.to" screen and the box date time is set to jan 1 2000 is because it takes the time from the transponder. Press the bouquet button on yr remote, and sh channels will appear and select any. Once channel is active, the current date and time will be shown.

After I fixed the problem, I turn off the set. I turned it on after a few hours, but this time the set takes very long to boot up and load the.channel list. It took probably a few minutes. I.rem the first time I turn on the set it was definitely much quicker.

Also when I switch channels now, it takes maybe 2 to 4 seconds to complete the switch. are these normal behaviors?

its normal ..... otherwise get a 800se for a faster processor

                    My experience
                    change channel 2-3 sec
                    full boot, 2 mins

So my advise, dont turn off the box completely. Just put on standby when not watching

no it doesn't apply to E1 atm

                            just for E2

E1 you can check SGSH E1 Online Bouquet plugin

E1 online bouquets are maintain by master DBTraitor

will be poping over some script from E2 to E1 plugins soon

As of now, the E1 bouquet does not have 131 & 516, probably next week then I update again.

Should the plugin include updating of keys, roms and picons?
