transponder found, but no channels

bit of a strange one here guys and gals.
flashed a 500c for a mate, transpnder found ok, but no channels are coming up on search.
connection is fine and box has been reflashed.
i would assume that as the scan found a valid transponder, then finding channels should be childs play!
box is running dk 1.1
any help for this weird issue?


just had a thought. as i say, transponder is found but no channels when scanned. could this be a tuner issue? its not a screw type tuner on this particular box, but an rf.

are u gettin any fta channels, if u are its prob not the tuner

no mate no fta no nothing.
ive done loads of boxes before and this is the first time ive come across this problem. box finds and locks onto transponder, but pulls in no channels whatsoever. this makes me think the tuner is working, but is just not strong enough to pull in the channels. ive told my mate to try scanning when box is hooked up to a booster and will wait to see what he says.

ok. booster used, no channels on scan. back to me, using my back up image have flashed twice, once using dreamup and null modem and once via telnet.
same problem. transponders are found. but no channels

ok ive sorted it. i have always used brute force on 6887. turns out this was my problem. i scanned on surrounding areas, came to stafford, and lo and behold, everything is there.
