im livin in new ross 20min away from wexford but its a part of wexford
my friend tryed the box i have in waterford an it worked fine but it wouldnt in ross tats probley why

no it never locks onto to the transponders
the old time it scans for channells for noting at the end of it not even the free channels like rte etc...
im not realy sure wat feq to use or symbol rate on manual scan

Yep you will need a 500T for New Ross

never got any channels yet usin the dreambox
were will i put tat file in
do i put tat were i put the other cable file and does tat mean i have to delete the other cable file i put in

do's it run thought cable as well

They are using the Terrestrial Dvb standard in Co.Wexford both on the cable and mmds ex chorus so you will need to get what is mentioned above or alternatives like Digivox T

so if i send back my 500c and get a 500t i will then get the channels i want
do i need a dish or somethin aswel to get the channels

Yes as long as you have either cablevision or mmds installed

You will need a basic subscription with Chorus Upc not a Satellite dish

Just one more bit of info just been talking to a friend who's living in Ross he has a Dreambox 500T working on cable there you go

Have a mate who has 500T working grand in wexford, shouldn't be a problem.
