original card to work in dreambox 500

right so a bit more info needed

i dl the dk1.1 image, installed newcamd from the dl server, also the newcamd cfg file and cardserv.cfg file with BK no go

due to auto install from the server the newcamd 5.28 went into /var/bin and the cfg file went in /var/tuxbox/ i also copied it to /var/tuxbox/newcamd folder but no picture i know the card codes are up to date as i used it in donor box earlier...

would a step by step be possible as in do i need

1) a seperate phoenix reader or can i use the internal card slot, i only have a smargo and omnikey can newcamd use either?

2) if manually installing newcamd 6.10 does the executable go in /var/bin ?

3) where and which config files do i need to place them?

Are you saying you managed to get cs working on your N3 card with just the Box key?

What you are missing is that you can also do this.

Some people test all different methods out of interest or furthering possibilities to make free viewing happen.

Plug and play is the easy option.

There are two packages on this sat and the package in N2 on 1W is Digi TV which will be moving to N3 at some point next year.

The canal package is in conax and is currently available on the old Diablo 2.3.

im currently gettin all i need from, sly, satanta, and espn but goin to n3 next year
that canal conax package....any estimate on how long it will last or will the new diablo take over from the old one....or is there an encryption change coming up ?
