original card to work in dreambox 500

Before you go any further you need the boxkey number off the card.

What revision is the card?

what type of nagra card is it if its the old n1 card then you will need to use newcamd if its the n2 cards then you can use cccam i think

its the card currently in use not the nigra 3 card

ok if its an n1 card then i would reflash your box dont put any key files in to it then download newcamd and newcamd config when you have these on your box ftp in to your box using some thing like dcc go to var tuxbox config i think it is then in newcamdcard server you will need to put your boxkey in to it save file then put card in goto your cam menu start newcamdcard server then start newcamd emu and that should be it if all went will

yoyo, and anyone else that wants to try this if u have a subbed card dont mess with it as your cable co. can find out and prosecute u....dont mess with subbed cc equipment!

now if u can get an old rom 10 or 11 card, yes you can do this.

Well I have to backup red devil & 2tone Because I know the 3 of us have it working on this box.

Just reading this as I was playing around with getting my real sub card working a dreambox 500c. Can you explain what is actually meant by the statement above?

By doing this, am I putting myself at risk? how can they tell i've plugged their card into a dreambox? Does it not update properly?

They tell the truth
and they can tell if you go amaturish into trying to dump nagra2 nagra3 cards,, n1 cards should be pretty easy to do, but still better to get an old card and try not use your only original card.
n1 cards once glitched stay glitched.
n2 cards glitch and dump,,, card stays locked

So far I've plugged my original card into the dreambox and tried using the cams etc to read enrypted channels however it didn't work. I'm guessing its because I didn't about the box key thing (as i've never needed to know when using a dreambox).

Are you saying by simply plugging the card in to the dreambox and trying to decrpt channels my real card could break or at least leave some sort of a footprint?

Think I might stop right now before I ~~~~ something up. I'm not pluggin back in my original card to my real VM box before someone gets back to me.

get an ex subbed rom 10 or 11 and btw wat area u in
