my DM500 cant start

Good post.
My box has a black screen after i have reflashed the box. The reflash works fine. I have tryied all differnt images to reflash with the same luck. Do you think my box is dead.

I have a similar problem.
Tuesday morning my 3 year old box was just giving me a blue screen. No problem unplugged it and tonight thought I would reflash it with Dreamup using the same cable as always. Problem is Dreamup doesnt detect the box when I switch it on. If anyone could give a clue as to any options left I would be grateful.

Just a quick update.
Thought tonight I would try it again after being switched of for the last few days. Still nothing so I thought I would try a different plug still nothing.
I noticed that the little green led wasnt being illuminated on the power unit but the only adaptor I have that fits the back of the dreambox was an old power unit for an HP printer, tried that and bingo its back on. In trying to flash it I have obviously erased the previous image which was a bit of a bastard but can be resolved.
Anyone know where to get a cheap replacement power unit.

Just ordered $l:y today so in 2 minds wether to cancel it now

hi,
i have a DM500c set. is it necessary to have a null cable? i have error msg when i use flashwizard pro to flash the backup.img. it says something like size too big, need to use multiboot.
kind of confuse what files do i need to use.
can the backup.img file can ftp into the set?

I need some help with your expertise,i have an issue with DM500C .i have dream up the box and even flash wizard but now i have a problem where by when i boot up the box it freeze and green light on but the remote no respond .i tried to reboot agian and it has the same issue ,stuck at pli screen .Need Help!!!
