Dreamup not working box down

Please help! i got w null cable & dm500c, when it came the screen was green! ive connected the cable & connected via dreamup, i get 18:14:22 box type: DM500 on dreamup then nothing, wont let me click flash. Little green light is on (the box). think they might of sold me a diffrent cable even tho it stated null modem on ebay? any help would be great?

Hello,

My DM500 box didn't work after home movement and I tried flashing with null modem cable home-made by me, and dreamup universal version 1.3.3.4 and it say's everything ok, flashed successfuly.

But box still doesn't work, green led is on all the time, no response to remote or standby button, and black screen on TV.

I checked my remote with my mobile phone camera and works. Also tried flashing erase.img into it and then a image but still not working.

During flash erase the red led is blinking.

Any suggestions?

seem to have nuked my dm800, hoping the version of dreamup posted in the first post will get it back

Is there a guide that breaks down the process of setting up the DM500c for all the channels that is simple for a newbee as I need to know what to do from start to finish from when you take the thing out of the box - please help as these guides seem quite hard to get my head round....

for anyone who is trying to get dreamup to work try putting dreamup in c:\ i had alot of probems having dreamup in desktop.

its best you now move to the Sat Dreambox section and ask your questions in there regarding your satellite set ups etc, they will be able to help you..

Are you getting an error?
what version of windows/mac/linux are you using?
how far did you get?
Are you trying to flash with a crossover cat5 cable or a null modem cable?
I am assuming you box is a dm500c

if you can supply some more detail the guys will help you out..
