If you want help you will need to give more detail
Best to use null-modem from rs232 serial port on computer.
Make sure com-port settings are correct
If using USB-rs232 cable you may need to download correct drivers Accompanying disc don't always carry drivers to enable cable use Dream-Up.Found these worked with cheap cable

hi everyone,my dreambox 800hd just got error message when i downloaded some new add ons ,i think it has the new enigma 2 image , bought it off a trader with the cs now i have read that it will have to be reflashed with dreamup will this lose my cs info as i dont know that much about these done cable things in past flashing etc so not a complete newbe but all the help possible will be gratefull thanks everyone

if you installed addons and your getting error messages go back to the addons menu and uninstall them ,and see if the error message disappears .

I have clone and this same message lcd on the dreambox still says "error! look at _www_dm7020_com *ERR01: NO CA FOUND"
I try diffrent dreamup and pc no connect to box i check hyperterminal no connect.
What can I do?

Try this version, recommended for DM800, but should work on 720
If not try Digital Kaos - Downloads - dreambox enforcer
Or try 1.3.3.4 works on DM800 no CA found

Following version(5) is rated most universal

If all above fail try this

Sorry about all the versions but some suit one box & not another. DM500 & DM800 are most popular boxes & most
software etc. is designed for popular Dreamboxes.
Most important when using Dream-Up to ensure correct com/port is selected & Image chosen is compatible with your Dreambox i.e. bootloader etc on image matches box types
When you find correct version of Dream-Up for your box you could try "select network" method when flashing box. It takes less than 3 mins. You need both LAN & null-modem cables

djax666 you will have to be more specific mate ,what dreambox do you have ? what version of dreamup do you have ? or you using a usb to serial adaptor with a null modem cable ? give as much info as you can and maybe we xan help you .

Jedi, think you are UK based. If you had DM500s boxes with Sat-dish there are many ser*ers for C/S at around 100-150 per year. Your boxes are DM500c, so you need a cable server for UK.
Am sure they will contact you by PM, as they scroll thru DK &
similiar sites looking for business. If they don't contact you PM your e-mail to me & I will look 'round for you

where on my pc do i connect the null cable? and how many pins on a null cable? i have a new pc this week if that helps

recently my DM500-c died suddenly but LED is on?

i cant download the dreamup cause not enough post count i think?.
