you can get dreamup from link one in my signature area and images etc (for satellite ) for cable link two. dreamup works on either.

you can follow this thread and use dreamup software.

The null modem cable can be bought in most electrical places like Maplins or try ebay, be about ?5 at the most.

you say you lost your channels ?
might not need to re flash it, try a re scan of all channels, if you are unlucky and live in an area that has changed the encryption , then there is nothing you can do that will get them back..

Hi i do all the steps but then after i connect the power the message doesn't change thats on Dream Up

check com port on dreamup. are you using a null mdem cable ,if your using a usb to serial cable with your null modem cable did you install a driver for it on your pc , and is your pc vista . if the answer is yes to all your driver is not vista compatable so you need to find one that is . dreamup can be got from link 1 in my signature area .

No I don't have null modem cable and it is very difficult to find what's the differernce why can't i use RS232 ?????????

Hi I have a cross over cable and a USB Converter and yet they seem not to be working Must I get a null modem cable.
N.B. The Cross Over is a serial RS232
