I need a null modem cable to flash my dreambox.

I habe located the port on the dreambox but unable to on my Laptop, Do all laptops have the null modem cable connection port?

no this why you need an usb to serial adaptor for some computers ,read back a bit on the thread for more info.

hi all and thx again piopat for the help,well seems my monobloc lnb one side is not getting any signal i downloaded the tv chan on the astra 19.2 now i 've got ccam 2.1.1 on the pli image is it better to updat it and how please,sry of my ignorance but I will get there hopefully

to update cccam you need to connect your box to your broadband router with an ethernet cable and install it via the the dreambox remote control. this is the easiest way to do it for a newbie , it can vary a little from image to image but on my box i press the yellow button twice to enter addons and then scroll down to the addon i want and press ok .

Hi piopat,I ;m wll impressed with the quick answer.welli've got a pli jade3 image on a DM 500s,for the internet connection i pluged a ethernet cable to the router /modem but when I check the connection on the DM the IP is 192.168.0.0 on my router is 192.168.1.1 and on the DM doesnt give me the option to chang the number just been assigned.and I tried to download on ccam PPanelupdate it'says no internet connection?? plz help

The one giving problem is 1.3.3.5. Just use 1.3.3.4 100% it worked.

Try pressing ok on the controller or menu? If the logo shows and the box does nnot reset then the image should be fine.

only green led is flashing when i press any button on remote but no picture or anything at all. i tried to unplug from AC source and pluged againa and there is the same situation. nothing except the logo on start. help please? i have a null rs232 cable but how to start flashing without started dm500?

you need to press menu on your remote ,the press number 6 (setup) then choose expert setup / and then choose communication setup and enable dhcp and enable network .im sure its all covered on this thread.

I still can?t view any channels

I still can?t view any channels
I have flashed my cable dreambox 500c
I have dreamup it and put the IP into using the software Flash FXP
I have put the key folders in and scanned for channels using bruteforce for UK.
The details and title of the channel, is there but can?t view it cannot, also cannot see sky sports.

Any help please where am I going wrong
