tuxbox commander

Hi

I am new to this forum and new with dreambox. I?ve got my self a dreambox 500c from a guy that won?t give me the root password. The box has the Gemini image installed. To be able to use all the cool features on the box I would need to crack the password somehow.

So i read on some threads that this could be done by installing the Tuxbox commander thing. But I dont really know how to. (It can?t be done from the blue button, I get an error code). So to install files on certain directorys on the dreambox, do one need to wire it up to the PC?

Or can I create a folder on my PC that i can access from the dreambox?

If someone could help me out iit would be really appreciated. Im a complete newbe to this so please try to be as basic as possible :-)

I have installed tuxbox commander on my DM500s but it doesn't show in the plugins menu. The DM uses gemini 3.6 image. Has anyone had this problem be4?
