New DM800C HD user checking in... hewwo!

managed to get the supplier fr china, they kept saying that it not the tunner fault, and ask me to do a scaning, and realised the provider S..H is not in the sevice list .

so pal , how to go abt it? appreciate any help!!!!

Have you try the "services and bouquets" file? Does it solve your "tuner failed" problem?

I hv re-flash the image by using "sim201e-75-newnigma2-snapshot-OE16-dm800-20100425030554.nfi"

where should i ftp to? :

1) keys to /usr/keys?
2) services and bouquets to /etc/?
3) nagrarom/ram files to /usr/scce?

any advise?? tks.

mate, i got all the sh channels shown but w/o picture, now, when even toggle between channels (including FTA), it shows " service unavailable, check tunner configuration" .

hv checked n enable tunner , also tried manual (666000, 256, 6875 etc..) & auto service scan, it shown all the " ***000khz failed". what's wrong now????

I would like to know which tuner dvb can Singaxxxx use? Cos I think I bought a DVB S. Should I be using a DVB C? And what is autoroll key and rom keys? Where can I find them. Cos I have been looking in the forum and the net. And I cannot find them.

DVB-C (Cable) can use for Sing. If you have got a DVB-S (Satellite) then send back to supplier for exchange. Alternatively you try to get a Cable Tuner locally if you find that sending back for exchange is too troublesome. All rom & autoroll link has been remove I think. Even let you downloaded the files. Do you know where to copy those files to? What software to use, and how to setup the box?

I recommended to looking for someone to setup the box for him and pay him for the service.

Physically removed the tuner dvb/s and waiting for a new dvb/c. Used DCC to ftped Mgcamd 1.35a into var/keys... The rest .... still figuring Don't know if it is possible top write my own autoroll key? Just wondering.

DM800 glitching

hello! i m back.

with my friend's help my repaired DM800HD was returned from china last month, so happy tat it?s alive but to my disappointment, now glitching intermittent very often and it hangs very frequently at HD channels.

I dare not ask question, as worry being scolded by bros that this was the repeated question. Hence,I searched for the solutions by reading through the DK forum n other forums from the web for the past few weeks.
(oh man....very? very tiresome to read through hundreds n hundreds of posts....).

These are some information that i hv got after done my research:

1) change the current tuner (Philip CU1216L3) to Ver. M that could improve the glitching?
-- i m not sure is my box support this version? my box's did not show the version number but with the number, SD803++-90909-003 on the board?

2) change the 4 capacitors, C233 C2?.. will improve?
-- it involves soldering of the mainboard. very worry could damage it.

3) change the EMU from magcam to others cam, eg. evocam??
-- try to down from the box via LAN not success! as my image ?sim201e-75-Dream-Elite_Black_Hole? seems not supporting EMU download.

4) thinking of trying other images, but wana backup my current image just in case it is not the hardware problem. Not success !! coz the box can?t recognized/mount my USB thumb drive.
5) Try install plugin Barryallan for the above , not success.

This DM800 has driving me crazy...crraazzyy..... any bros encountered similar problem that able to share??
