dreambox 500c ok for nagra 2 ?

Hi all,

Complete newbie to this, but can the dreambox handle nagra 2 or are I in trouble,
Region dublin.
Box came with DK 1.0 & I have flashed latest roms with great help from this forum I might add.
Cannot get movies or sports channels, all others seem to be ok,
should i put on Dk 1.1 onto the dreambox or will it make any difference,

please advise,

there is no public dreambox fix for ireland yet..

itgate is only linux box working on dublin right now n2.

i think there's a temp fit for the Kryptviews and IT Gates - but no other boxes.

How come the IT Gate fgix cannot be transfered to Dreambox, they both linux, right?

i don't know the reasons, it's been covered a number of times, i think the IT Gate team are working on the fix for the their boxes and i'm not sure if it can be ported due to it not being open source.

ive heard they started postin out nag3 cards to replace the nag2 cards

Easy Itgate have N2 fixed but I cant see them helping dreambox owners

Because the hypercam fix is exclusive to an iTgate only version of the emu, various reasons would stop me or hypercam team releasing it as a dreambox fix. Dont see why anyone would even expect it,, although hypercam ppc versions 1.04 and greater will work fine with UPC if you give it correct keys! ( unlike any other EMU your normally used too ) soo guess its like a bit of inspiration for someone now to get keys into it and working on dreambox,, but sadly it will be individual work, and not from the clone traders that should be suffering

Dreambox is a prime example!,,, lots of people buying clones thinking there will always be someone to fix, expecting support.
proper competition comes from boxes with REAL support! and of course there already fixed!..Its the greedy clone sellers.

What am trying to say is here in Ireland there is NO support from traders of the dreambox.

The last time they changed the key roll method in December the only fix I seen them come up with was supply a mosc card for another 200euro.

Most of the dreambox owners that I know have purchased off traders that lock there boxes & none of owners would know howto flash Images or ftp.

I would say there are only a few enthusiasts here that have the knowledge to fix the N2 for the dreambox & they probably already have.

just to let you lads know upc in ireland are sending g02 cards out (fact) i got mine two days ago! to make matters worse ive gota pay 500 euro to get box and ird thats after paying 250 to open a07 less than 2 months ago.

you would be better off getting an Itgate or Ipbox at least they are getting support & save a few euro

short term maybe i would have saved a few quid but long term im thinking linux is the only way for n3 if you know wat i mean
