Q5 PVR scanning new channels

Uses manual scan. But my HD5 and HD8 got no sound, only SD channels got sound. Please help. If cannot reply here, can PM me. Thanks a lot.

It happened to me before. I contacted the seller and eventually I have to send the box back after receiving a replaced set.

You still consider lucky liao as my seller road run liao, now cannot update firmware.

replace all 5 pc of 470uf and 2200uf (nxt to the big diode), u shud b ok.

@cubert_y... Master Jatro had already advised you of the solution.



If you open the casing, you should see alot of diode which only 1 is 16v2200uf (green one in pix). If you notice, the diode is abit bloated therefore faulty & causing the stall in booting. Just replace the bloated diode will save your box.

If you do not know soldering, juz bring your box to sim lim tower to get someone to change for you but must be discreet.

No brand... Juz Q5 as the model I guess, not very sure either but it is quite a simple box to operate.

My HDC601 is here.... Not very good... Cant see EPL... Can see a while then most of the time keep scramble....
Some other channel oso scramble... Dunno if it is due to my internet speed....

I check with the seller... he say they doing some adjustment tonite... Will be ok after a while.... And now it seems smooth... no more scramble... MY EPL looks perfect now....
