Q5 PVR scanning new channels

My HDC601 is here.... Not very good... Cant see EPL... Can see a while then most of the time keep scramble....
Some other channel oso scramble... Dunno if it is due to my internet speed....

Good luck to you... Already warn & still got people buy this box after so much review.

I check with the seller... he say they doing some adjustment tonite... Will be ok after a while.... And now it seems smooth... no more scramble... MY EPL looks perfect now....

It will be surprise if the lagging is only tonite.

My understanding is it will be always lor. Even using fibre also lag then need to use wat?

he is a new member. he made 4 post in 12min yet hv time to call china input phone nbr takes 15sec to feed mac and blah blah lah, another xxx sec. the chinese can repair service in less than 5min, perhaps juz a reboot only..... but then all other boxes will hangs during the reboot, estimated to be 4mins....
that too short a period of time makes me wonder if his post is credible.
this is only my personal perception.
i cud b wrong.

U mean I lie to u? Dun have to lie.... I can take pic show u.... It seems to be working fine after around 11 plus.... Then I watch liverpool game oso fine... Just a little bit hang but most of the time it works fine.... Have to try for few days to know... Tonight EPL will know I guess.... I dunno y u say I lie... No purpose....

Please don't take things too personal. Its just his perception. Everyone here learns from one another and through personal experiences. You have taken the initiative to try out things for yourself. That is a good attitude and please don't stop posting yr experience on this new box of yours. Hope everything goes well for you. And please adhere to the rules of this forum. Sorry if I offeded u. I m juz jealous u get such prompt service which I dont get. I too hv a HDC600 and a HDC601 but very much disappointed with. I hv to call till my hicard runs out of credit.

Personnel I think that the hdc601 is easy to operate and it come with timer timer recording. USB hardisk is easy to config unlike dreambox.
The download side we were be at the mercy of Ah tiong and doesnt know when the biox it an last.
But what can we do about the dreambox. I hve three lying to be use as paper weight .
I have been google for the past one month to fiind a solution without any success. But roughy know what we should do with the new encryption

I have learned a lot from this forum and all the master and sifu that have contributed to this wonderful forum . Special thanks to all the master n Sifu.....

But hopefully it won't here.

Any master would care to share where can I learn the the new encryption system otherwise we will have no choice but to rely on those stipid ah tiong box，

Most seniors over here have no choice too, with the new system internet connection is (must) required constantly.
Your external IP address is always exposed to the internet, it is a risk with VPN or not. Many things can happen;
end-users can bao to, st*rhub can sniff out, etc.........

Of course there are always Kamikaze around.

Most prefer someone they know, or you can kena ****hub ppl undercover as end-users. If you search, this past
3 - 4 years in EU, some providers have been prosecuted.

Not really offended. Anyway the box was ok... working fine just that at time got the scramble word come out then hang.... Only EPL channel like that... Hopefully the box can last long...
Btw how to record using this box? Anyone can teach me?

also replace the red-arrowed 2 cap with 470uf25v since u already open up the box.

No offend brp Jatro... Do you mean 16v470uf or 25v470??? As the onboard diode is 16v470uf.

To upgrade to a bigger volt diode for better effect? Please guide& advise. Thank you!

yes, change 470uf16v to 470uf25v which is safer and wont blot that soon. i hope.
i normally will change 5x 470uf on mobo except d 6th that near the usb port.
the 2 x 470 near the diode cos boot to stuck at "boot"
the 3 x 470 near the tuner cos some chn cant rcve or mossiac
