    DM800 Tuner Config

Hi.. I've got the smirnoff rules image on a dm800 with a cable tuner fitted. Looking around the forums I can't seem to find my problem listed anywhere.

On the tuner configuration screen the 'netid' field only allows me to enter 4 digits instead of 5. And on various threads it mentions to just set the provider to 'vermin' but I don't have this option anywhere.

All a bit confused by it TBH.

If you download the Smirnoff june30 image, that has the ‘provider’ option on the config screen, if you use the arrow keys to scroll thru.
It comes up with 4101, and V****n, but it still scans ok.

Also, if you scan anyway, and then use autobouquets c2, it has a built in net area id selector.

I got a bit puzzled too at first.
But I eventually just did a factory reset, rebooted, and then did a software update.
Ran set up etc, and when I went to tuner config, it had the option of a 5 digit area id

I'm using the image from June 21 > [email protected]

I can't find a more recent one and the provider option is definately not on the menu.

The one I have is ‘800hd cable 2.01’, it’s by Smirnoff and its on page 1 of the downloads page.
        800hd cable 2.01sim 84b - Downloads - Digital Kaos
Check it out, follow instructions, you don’t need a net id, and if you go to tuner config, you can change it from ‘frequency steps’ to provider .

Very strange as that's the exact image I am using. yet there's no option to select provider and can only enter 4 digits in the netid field.

Going to factory reset and flash again now ???? confused ???

Just do a scan it you will get a lot of failed transponders but it should scan about 576 channels.
That's all I did plus add net id.
When I added additional s/r I got error.
