help needed

hello everyone

i need help as i am new to this stuff got a dreambox500c
and need help installing image on it.
i have plugged it in and the transponder scan give me two freq which are not the the ones i want as i have a dbox and only know little bit.
i could do with knowing if can do the image over the eathernet cable or do i need the null modem cable?
and the programs which i need aswell.

You need dreamup software this is the easiest way to flash, connected to pc with null modem cable. Which image is currently on the box and where are you based ?

duane the quickest way to flash the box is with an ethernet cable using telnet. have a read here

and another one wat would u say is the best image to put on my dreambox?
i have now got the null modem cable which looked the simple way for me.
plus how do i go on with the keys do i need to insatall them on different program?

everyones got there own preference on image, i use dk on mine and its great. when you go to do the keys i use flash fxp you will need to use an ethernet cable into your router or cross over cable if not http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...dreambox-1307/

You could of course put on an image that is complete but you may as well learn how to ftp while your at it

right done the image with no problems.
went and did a search for transponders and cant find anything.
these are the two it is searching which i dont think are right

Thats a sat box you have there mate by the looks of it it's defaulted to the sat settings.

looked at the box and everything else it is all saying 500c even the barcode on the box?
