Ok, got my replacement 800C this morning, even though postal strike, got to love them postal temps and dvbseller.com for quick turnaround i sending replacment.

Ok, plugged hard drive in and it see it first time..so joy!

Now, Im tweaking it at present and testing everything.

I will make my complete image, which will include the roms, the autoupdate, the scanning will be local, i.e you in london, you select london in scanning and it will fast scan all for you. I'll include my bouquets as well to make it easier for you.

Im using mgcam at present but want to test it with evocam and see if can work a bit on improving the epg.

So anything else, anyone want on this image?

image nearly perfect..only thing left to get 100% is epg...so still working on that.

My image so far has perfect picture/sound on hd etc..
roms files copied and working
autoupdate working .
Backup plugin installed.
Evocam 2.17 working and not freezing.
Picons installed and working (latest version)
Recording and timeshifting works fantastic.

correction evocam not working, mgc only is.
Got faster epg working with plugin and its setup to refresh all bouquets....much faster than without.

I think getting epg working is going to take a bit of time, so if anyone wants this image now, reply with place for me to upload. Cant upload here as its complete image with roms etc..

ok here my dm800c image so far.
My location is belfast so all Beaquets are arranged for that location.

To flash this image, you should hold in the boxs power button while powering on for 10secs. It will then show the ip of the unit.

Now goto your pc and enter that ip into your IE.
You will see a dreambox webpage, select update flash or whatever its called and select this file to upload...and let it do its stuff.

Now, the image is gemini4.4 no bomb.
I have putin cable.xml which has all the fast scan feq etc already for every town in uk. Just chanel you location in the scan settings and then tell it to scan.
I've install backup plugin so you can backup your completed image when done.
VLC plug so you can watch movies from your pc, etc.
I've also put in faster epg updates, which satill is not perfect, but better than any other image.

The "magic" rom files are alreadt installed, the auto update files are there also.
Picons are also installed and update and working.

If you want just plugin a hard drive, initialise and its already setup for that.

Note, I expect a new version of this iumage will be availible in few days if I can sort the epg, but due to the amount of pms I've got people wanted it now...so here it is.
Enjoy and remember its bootloader 72, if your any other bootloader, when you flash this you will get an error. To fix that error, just flash using dreamup the bootloader of your box...job done.

Having problems with my box think its arrived dead

Plugged the power and feed and hdmi cable and no light or display on front of box. lights are on ethernet port and I get a picture of palm tress with some arabic writing on it anf GP at the bottom which goes off after 10 secs and nothing no response from remote either. Not done anything else literally just plugged it in. Got from dvbseller and waited over 3 weeks due to delays and broken promises not happy.
