what signal strength are you getting? sounds like it could be a feed problem..

Disconnect all your coax, check the connectors are on properly and reconnect making sure everything is tight.

Menu > Information > Stream Info > Right Right Right

SNR % should be mid 90s, 96% is ideal.

Less than 90% and you risk breakup and freezing. Signal booster would be required to boost the signal strength or remove all splitters and put the box on the main feed and see if the SNR % improves.

yeah the snr is 96% but does drop for a second to about 70 and the ber jumps from zero to a huge number, my THE BOX down stairs on the same feed works fine, any suggestions. Can i buy anythin to reduce the ber and to regulate the signal, cheers

I have had the exact same problem (here in surrey ex-tw) for the last week or so and a mate of mine has had it too in crystal palace area (ex-tw) i am using v+ boxes and dreamboxes he is using v+ only, It has to be virgin doing somthing as we are on diffo gateways as we are 10 miles away from each other.

As far as signal goes its funny how it seems to of dropped since we went over to virgin ???

ive heard that a booster can amplify the noise too - so may not be the best solution. how many splitters between you and the main feed?

Same thing happened to me from Sunday to wed night all channels jumping breaking up. I didn?t get round to doing anything about it and it cleared itself by wed night!! Strange but do think it could be a fault on the cable company or something more sinister! im paranoid again!!

Do you have a subbed box on line as well, as i had a sammy that caused so many sig probs. As soon as removed no probs, also your splitter could be the problem, just disconnect and single supply to problem box if all is ok replace splitter, check conections.

Also ensure vmedia filter is fitted prior to any box.

Found also latest cams caused probs, try evo 2.14 and mg 1.16.

I am having a simular problem but my signal doesn't bounce. The signal quality and strength is in the high 90?s but most channels breakup constantly. I have tried a booster, removing the splitter but with no luck. Any other suggestions?

i had the same problem on v*rgin 1, so what i did was disconnect the splitter and just have a direct feed to the b*x and all is good now
