Smirnoff got cable so the backup would be a cable backup. Now that would be interesting test to see what happens when you use a cable backup on a sat box.

You have to use the Pli image and you also have to use their SQLite plugin for downloading the 14 EPG from the radio times site. and yes you do need the internet as the epg is downloaded daily.

Arrgh, that's cheating, you can do that on a DM500

I was hoping there was a real software fix.

I got the 600 unit as i was advised the 500 sometimes have problems and the 600 would be a better choice.

It should be arriving Tuesday so i see if i can break it then as its the first one i have done. Hopefully i get the image on but i think i get some other problems when i cannot get all the channels :-), and need some keys.

This is going to be Ex CW area.

Why is it cheating ?

On a 500 do you need to use a mounted drive to store the EPG on? I would not expect there is enough room in VAR.

I have just put Pli on my 500 and am very impressed. It will be on the 600 ASAP, maybe in the morning.
