DM500 green led fix after flash

    Hi all,

After flash my DM with flashwizzard 6.3 and DK image, I deconnect and reconnect my DM and red led fix, nothing with the remote control.

I would like to reflash with dreamup but after conneting the laptop and the DM via null modem cablem, select COM1, connect, I connect my DM but dreamup say all the time "connection prepared, now switch on the dreambox!" and after maybe 2 or 3 minutes, the led switch off and no led on the front

I'm sure the DM start because when I connect the ethernet cable, I have confirmation connection but nothing and impossible to switch off with the swith facade button

    Have you any idea ?

    Thanks for your help

was the remote working before you flashed it? If so it could be just a bad flash.

If it wasnt, then check the cable in the unit hasnt come loose.

      Hy Bonesy,

      Yes the remote working before.

I think it's just bad flash but I don't know to reflash the DM

use dreamup and a null cable . turn the box off at the plug and then as your sending the firmware(or connecting to the box) turn the box back on at the plug

have had this happen to myself, use dreamup, and reflash the box using null modem cable. NOT ethernet.

Hi i've had the same issue,

i think i may have done a bad flash on my dm500s,

i flashed the box and it got to about 84% and stuck,

now the box just switches on with a solid green light and nothing on the screen, it doesn't get an ip address,

and now won't communicate with my computer i've used various versions of dream up and a null modem cable, also i have tried a computer with a pci serial port and a computer with an onboard serial port and still nothing.

is there anyone that can help me sort my issue, or is it totally bricked?
