in your 'device manager' on your pc, go into the properties of the ports and see what speed (baud rate) they are running at, i think they need to be set to 9600...
Thanks for your help guys,
I tried the baud rate to 9600 still no change just find it strange that even when the null modem cable is not connected to dreambox its still showing connection prepared now switch on the dreambox!
Gutted
Connected just the power and av leads (no active cable yet! just in case) the screen comes up blue with "the LP" in yellow writing on background and its wanting to know the tv system (pal)
well at least it starts, but i will need one of the other guys who is familiar with the clone 500c boxes to step in, maybe something i am missing here..
I would think it will be the Serial card installed? looks fine though gutted its went this way had been reading the forums and making sure everything was in place so I didn't go down this road! is there a alt way of flashing using ftp? or anyone else have problems with there serial cards/ports ?
