dm800s please help

Hi all
I ordered this one from linuxsat and having a few problems with it
dm800s with bl72 gemini pre installed
the only way it will power up is if i hold down the power button
while hot plugging power supply it usualy takes 5 or 6 attempts somtimes it will not power up at all
sometimes flash mode or
dream multimedia on the lcd screen

i have flashed with NabiloBlackHole-12-BL72-DM800 over web interface
still problems booting

Ip is unconfirmed in network setup
ftp is working with a static ip but no internet connection
using the same cable my dm600 uses, so i know my network is ok
nabilo restart. hard reset are not working

reflashed with NabiloBlackHole-11-BL72-DM800
same result

reflashed bl72 with DreamUP_patched_by_forhike_and_natas

reflashed with NabiloBlackHole-12-BL72-DM800
same result

could the power supply be faulty?

please any help will be much appreciated

Sounds like a faulty power supply, try a differnt cable if you have one, there usually the same as laptop cables (some model of laptop)

how and why was it your cable as it works fine on your 600 you say

it was the short piece of cable from the plug to the power supply
i replaced it with one that has a uk plug
