i have just bought a dreambox 500c and im trin to set it up. I always seem to be workin so have very little time with the dreambox and forums. I have heared that v have started to encrypt the signal the same way that a canadian cable co have for the last 3 years and this has remained secure! National rollout is said to be complete by Mar 10. Has anyone heared anything about this? My source seems to be reliable!!!!

Still working for now, just a rumour but I heard Londons next, they will do it in area's one at a time

They have never rolled security fixes in regions before. They have always had one in the field test region and when testing is over then the entire country changes overnight.

Yes. New card arrives. Few weeks later. game Over. Leeds down but just a few miles away in Bradford all still working fine on old cards.

yep m8 someone needs to pay a valid sub and i dont think it will work to well on cable

I hope not, when regions were being upgraded for internet speeds london had to wait ages. If & when london goes down i'll be sure to post here to confirm.

From what i have read 3.7 is the new firmware / infrastructure to implement nagra3 , Leeds was 4 weeks at 3.7 from cards being sent out till n1 swith off , so if your area receives new cards , it will be within a month
