Guy called Peng from china is doing the 500c for ?50 including delivery, just got one today to replace the kryptview downstairs as the wife was moaning about the different menu's. Only put it down there as my 500c went titz up.Will keep the kryptview for myself for watching sport upstairs as i dont have a problem with it.

Is Peng actually doing that price if you only buy the one box? If so any chance you could post his website/email addy as I have lost the thing.

I just ordered a dreambox 500c clone from dvbmonkey - the total for the box and postage came to ?61.99 - not bad, I let you know what the quality is like once I receive it - hopefully it will be better than the black box I got from BuyingThings.co.uk as that didn't come with batteries, user manual, power lead and it had the dvb logo missing from the front of it - as well as that the image had pre scanned asian channels - so the box had been used before.

Got mine from BuyingThings and I know they test all the boxes before its shipped hence the asain channels... Also got a call from them saying the power lead (kettle lead) was the wrong but would i still want it posted or wait but i asked them to send anyways as these leads are very common.

Batteries were taken out by customs the tossers. Not allowed battries in most flights no more.

BuyingThings are straight will all they sell and top customer services in my experience. Anyone else?

Buying things have first class customer service although not taking anything away from dvbmonkey

Always reply to emails very quickly

The problem with the power cord is that the figure of 8 cable was the two pin plug connection rather than the 3 pin uk plug.

Just a matter of swapping the cable over.

The boxes are sent as a gift or with very little value and so you dont get charged much or no tax

Oh and buyingthings are sending from abroad at the moment to see if its worth saving the extra ?10 for customers. If it doesn't work, they will keep UK stock but price may go up..

got one yesterday from buyingthings. box was faulty loose connection on the back, the remote was damaged and power lead was missing. i siad ~~~~ am i a joana. contacted support got a immediate reply asking did i want an exchange or refund. opted for an exchange, hears hoping.
