Lost channels on dreambox 500c (virgin med)

its easy guys
what you have to do is delete the channels that you cant get before you rescan, then they will come back on. i have had this problem a few times and this always works for me

hi been reading through this but unsure what i have to do lost everything on 500c and on d box 2 is it just a matter of deleting all channels that are missing then just doing a bruteforce scan,

dunno mate, but i have same problem, i have image DW 2.1 and ive removed the channels from bouqets and all services etc like your supposed to do, but still after brutescan they dont come back, or if they do come back they still show blank screen, they say flashing the dk image should make them come back, i havent done that yet though as iam not bothered as its only like a few discovery channels and e4 and film4 etc, no big deal.

I've had the same problem. A brute force scan seems to have got me back all my channels. Is there a easy was to get the Bouqets back in VM order without me doing it manually as its a real pain????

check out the downloads section magicman. the bouquets are there but vary for different regions. have a search on the site and you will find them. glasgow bouquets available in the "latest downloads" section if thats any good to you

Missing Channels Too

I have loads of missing channels. Went off on Monday (8th Feb). Didn't want to re-scan in case I lost the lot. Then I would have to start from scratch - 1st timer - so I would be fumbling along.

I've had ALL the problems mentioned on this thread today! The thing that worked best for me was to rescan the image. This seems to have brought back all the channels.

However, for some strange reason, I can't get 2 channels back and wouldn't you know it, they are 2 of the ones I watch the most - British Eurosport and Comedy Central. Which is weird cos I can get British Eurosport 2 and Comedy Central Extra and + 1.

I've rescanned several times on Bruteforce and my local NTL but they never appear. Any advice?

Ok Guys, I'm a newbie myself and have suffered the same problems as mentioned here.
I have a D500c on Neutrio image.

Luckily I have a backup of the imgae, So I have reflashed the image, back to the box using dreamup (easy way for me).
I then did a scan using all Transponders and using CABLEUKSYM6952 instead of using Bruteforce which has been mentioned loads on here. Anyway, I now have all channels up and running. I hope that this is of some use to the people on this board..... Hopefully.

OK I have a theory on this... I too am missing a few channels and they have the correct EPG... I too have done a million re-scans and have also gone down the route of trying 2 different images DW2.1 and DK1.1 these both still have the same problem... Now My sister also has a box and hers works fine... off the same exchange in Liverpool.... Also I have a friend who has a Dbox who lives off the same street cabinet as me and he is getting all the channels no problem (after a re-scan).... Now I believe that the dreambox's tuner is not as sensitive as a dbox or any other dodgy box come to that and I believe this is the issue... but I am not able to find a signal booster that works...

If anyone has any suggestions as to how to boost the signal on a VM cable then please let me know and we could try it... Or on that matter please find a solution to this issue as this is happening all around the country...

if your theory was correct then that would mean a few weeks/month ago that hundreds if not thousands of people were effected with a sudden signal issue, and therefore this would mean that virgin for some reason fluctuated the signal level all over the uk, and then people lost some channels, seems strange, but not Impossible, the very strange thing is though that some people can simply do a scan and get the channels back and some cant, its weird.

I also have this problem, i have a couple of boosters that work good, but as of yet i have not even tried them for this issue, cant be botherd as the channels i have missing are ones that i dont care about, but i will get round to it at some point, .

Just buy any plug in electric tv aerial signal booster mate, MAKE sure it have a variable gain control so that you can turn the signal up n down, they aint that expensive, maybe 20quid or something like that, been years since i bought mines, and they do work very very well if you have a weak signal on your dreambox, i am proof of that.

correct me if i am wrong, you scanned the 6952 frequency which is or was telewest, i am guessing your area used to be run by telewest until the ntl/virgin takeover ? correct ?

If not, are you in a pure ntl area, pure ntl is an area that has always been owned by ntl until virgin took over.
