Lost channels on dreambox 500c (virgin med)

just got the 500c, what do i need to download to get it up and running??new to all this,cheers

I'll try without the images first...

OK in the DK 1.1 image.... when you do an automatic transponder scan you have locations... e.g Liverpool, Abbeydale, Acton-London etc... well what I done was to go into everyone starting with Barnes (because this was the first (TW) one...), As I live in an ex TW area I just went thru all the TW locations.

So I started with Barnes then Barnsley, Basildon, Bath etc.... Scanned each one individually....

Everytime I found more TV channels.... so I just kept on going untill I reached Woodgreen...

This resolved the matter of the channels and found some extra channels.... Not sure why the bruteforce scan did not pick up these channels...

I dont think I got all the ~~~~ channels tho and the Box office channels but I'm sure someone will have and share those....

If you need more explination I will do some screen shots tomorrow if needed... It's been a long day

i use DW 2.1, i cant say i remember seeing different locations, hmmm.

I think it's only available in DK 1.1....

anyway I think my coments are a load of crap because I noticed that my channels had gone again....

but I started again and I only used Barnes and Barnsley and they have brought back the channels in my location....

If the same is happening to you then the only thing I can suggest is to load the DK 1.1 image and then go thru the list and everytime you find channels then look in the program list to see if they have come back...

Are you in the liverpool area then I could maybe send you the frequencies they are on...

anyone got dk 1.1 image fully setup for scotland pure ntl and channels in order in bouquets etc ? all ready to flash an go in other word s?

i'am not in any hurry as my box is ok just now, but i wanted to try dk1.1 to see if i could get these missing channels back.

Should allow you to set your location on the DW 2.1 image

Im am in what is described as an Original NTL area, now VM I had lost ss1 and ss3 maybe some other chanels for the last 4 weeks. Have them back. Do a service search and choose CableUK Sym6887. This then connected me to a transponder with a lock. It scanned and all my missing channels have come back. Hope this helps you.

for people with dm500c dw 2.1 neutrino who are still missing channels after re scan( this will not work for areas in n3 stream).

on a channel press blue... tuxbox commander... Var.. tuxbox...config....zapit... delete services.xml..... delete bouquets.xml. if you cant see these press on the (..) to bring you to the root.

Reboot.

should say no channel rescan.

for fast scan put in your network id, freq, S/R. find this on net or here.

for enigma images delete non working channels in provider and bouquets rescan..........

hi, im having some problems with my dm500c. sky sports 1, mtv, and most channels work, except for the sky movies and other channels, i have ftp'd and put the keys and roms where there supposed to be. i have another dm500c, and it works perfect, dont know what the problem is. im on dk 1.1

go to channel that dont work bouquets and normal menu delete. rescan if theres no delete option go to tuxbox var config delete service xml rescan........
