### Digital Kaos v1.1 - Updated Fast Scanning ###

Thanks for the last suggestion.

I've tried 3 different versions of Dreamup and 3 images. Each is giving the same error.

The box is alive, flashing started, but terminated half way with :

Error, upload aborted!

Can somebody help me out please.

1. Recently when I search for channels using automatic, at the end of the search I get this error:

Couldn't open servicefile - create
/var/turbox/config/enigma

How do I resolve this pls (DM500c, dk1.1 image)?

The DM500C is a cable box. So no satellites involved. You need an S version to begin with.

Hi folks,

I gives me great pleasure to announce an update to the excellent Digital Kaos v1 image, funnily enough named v1.1.

The only update is the inclusion of FAST SCANNING. Just like you have with the dbox2 you can now scan all channels in under 2 minutes with your dreambox. I know this is possible with a manual scan but I don't think it's been done with an automatic scan or included in an image yet. So you'll get it here first with the Digital Kaos v1.1 image. I did plan to do a v2 image but I simply don't have the time at the moment.

Scan the channels in like you usually do...

Menu > Setup > Service Searching > Automatic Transponder Scan

Only this time you have options like the Set My Location plugin on the dbox2. Choose the option that is closest to your town/city and start scan. If none of the options suit you, the original settings (6887, 6952, Bruteforce & Irish) have been included. The options are listed alphabetically so it's easy to find your area.

For those already using the DK v1 image AND if you have your dreambox connected to the internet (via router or modem), you can update to the latest v1.1 image using your remote and you don't even need to turn on your PC.

Menu > Setup > Expert Setup > Software Update > Internet Update

Select 'Digital Kaos v1.1' from the list and follow the prompts.

Note: Your services and bouquets will NOT be affected, they will still be there after upgrading.

Please refer to the original writeup for all features within this image.

mount nfs rec

Hi guys, i have a question for u.

First of all, i have used TDW image for a long time & was pleased with that one, stable & quite fast.
But since i bought my dm 8k witch is loaded with 1,5 tb hdd i wanted to nfs mount my dm 500s to that box.
Trashed that 1 since i had to edit remote file & never got it working properly so went for DS team.
Got it mounted & rec works but very por, sometimes its not even watchable, alot of pixelation...

Now to my question, will this work better with this image?
Is there anyone here that is running a nfs setup?
As i understand this image have preset buttons so i dont have to fiddle with that, right?

As i have a good image working id like to now if rec works without
pixelation as that is what i have now.

Yes but you need to do a bit of reading up on dreambox. Have a
look at posts in RED at top of dreambox section & also look in
DOWNLOADS dreambox section, click on guides.
Basically if you put DK 1.1 or PLI-jade-500 image on your box
and also install Cccam 2.14 on the box you'll be set-up.
You can then form a share with friends who have similiar boxes
or you can obtain a c-line from a server to unscramble channels
when box is connected to router & sat dish
