Download the DK Image.

All the areas are there. Bruteforce UK scan and local areas.

Cgscott, had a couple of boxes previously, have flashed image to new blackbox 500c but can not ftp the box, followed stickies etc. says connected but the disconnected??? thanks for any help.

It's the easiest & least troublesome method of flashing an image to a dreambox. Easier still if you use old P.C. with
serial port & null-modem cable

Because there is no more FIX. There is a new encryption that is non negotiable with hackers as of yet.

I've tried the Gemini images and i keep getting an error then it aborts.

Try DK1.1 or Pli-Jade image for DM500c.

Digital Kaos - Downloads - PLi Jade3 - for the Dreambox DM500
Use Dream-up with null-modem cable ONLY from rs232 port on
old PC. to flash image to box. USB-rs232 cables are hard to set
up for Dream-up. Don't plug in box until prompted by Dream-up.
Some versions of dream-up won't work with DM500 try this one
Make sure USE NETWORK is not ticked on Dream-up
