how to install keys for 7025

Yes chmod means change the permissions of the file. 755 gives it execute permissions. If the file is an executable, like the evocamd file, it need to have permission to be able to run on the box. Other files like a key file or a config (cfg) file doesn't need execute permission, only read/write permissions so those can stay at 644.

sorry its been a while but ive been away come back full house been ill best hol ever .
first chance ive had to finally sort this out once and for all just to up[date none of the above things have worked maybe i have messed about to much with settings so im thinking of a clean install

would i be better changing everything on my box to the default settings i have heard evocam 2.12 works well i cant get 2.17 to work also would i be better off changing my image currently gemini 3.7

a running setup would be most handy of someones setup which is working with no hitches so i can follow it please thanks

just to refresh i have started again it seems everything is going wrong

i have the new lt image no problems there

my intention was to stick evocam 2.12 into it as it appears to work best but now for some reason i cant ftp it to my box it wont connect anymore i am using the dreambox cc cant understand as it was working ok before with the gemini image

so basically im more stuck than ever its killing me

well back again finally managed to connect my dreambox up to my pc with crossover cable but cant find how to get evocam into this new lt image any ideas anyone please

well its took a long time to get back where i started any help would be much appreciated

got Lt image working i have installed evocam 2.12 i have put keys into usr/keys and roms into usr/scce still no picture aaaaaaaaaaggggggggh

do i need to put keys in other places as well and do i need to change every value to 755 in the keys and the scce folder or do you just change certain ones please help i think im close

FTP it to the temp directory then goto addon manager to do a manual install

make sure to uninstall any previous evocamd first

keys and scce dont go anywhere else m8
downloadthe most recent mg camd of the from the addons manager
start mgcamd just to see if the keys are updating and you get a picture even if it freezes

just to be sure here before i disconnect my internet as i have no hub just doing it direct with crossover will i have to download mgcam or is it in the lt image thanks

by the way do i need to change all the attributes to 755 or just certain ones of yet i have not changed any

here it is m8 unzip and put in the temp folder ,then manual install

check every thing is in the key and scce folders first to the ones on your pc
then add the mgcamd try that if nothing but are you leaving it to update the keys long enough for a couple of mins

right i have put that in still only free to air any more thoughts

its killing me i think im close but yet so far doesnt help either when i have to disconnect my internet everytime too then carry box up and downstairs to connect to tv and computer im knacked

the wifes not to pleased either

are you using the keys and scce files from the radid share thats fine )
are you puting these in /usr/, not /var/
if so delete them from both and put them in usr/ then reboot the box

yes mate got file of devilfish on here i have only inserted the keys into usr/keys and only the roms in usr/scce nothing else has been touched(i think i made the mistake of changing just about everything last time)

DO I NEED TO CHANGE ANY OF THE ATTRIBUTES I NOTICED SOME ARE ON 644 DO I NEED TO CHANGE TO 755 IF SO WHICH ONES I THINK I CHANGED EVERYONE LAST TIME I COULD FIND WHICH WAS WRONG I THINK

check in usr/bin that your cams are set for permissions to 755

right il have a look at that first thing tommorow cant look now wifes watching the box downstairs just out of interest if that is not the problem any idea after that then i can kill two birds with one stone while me box is hooked up to the computer thanks

tried that already all be it with evocam 2.17 thought id try this one as it seems to be a bit more reliable for working according to what i read in posts

i did have gemini 3.7 on my cf card along with barry allan but i cant seem to find it on this image will it have disapeared when i reflashed the box

well thats all for another day by the way how do i install picons to my image and is there a way of adding a boquet for virgin teeside ex ntl to save me sorting it one by one
