Channels all gone !

Chaps,

All my boxes working again.

I did a flash erase on the box using dreamup, then uploaded the DK 1.1 image, then ftp'd the keys across.

Did a scan using NTL Teesside, then another scan using 6887

At first it seemed no channels were back but I scrolled through the many BBC1 channels until 1 worked. I then scrolled thru each channel using the remote and they all came back! except a lot of BBC1 channels and lots of ITV channels!!! I do have one of each tho.

I then backed this image up using telnet (thanks for the guide) then using dreamup uploaded this backup image to the other boxes - all working.

A couple of days ago I lost my BBC channels 1, 2, 3 & 4, but everything else is there.

I?ve done the usual rescan using Bruteforce as well as the Sym6952 I usually use and reboot etc. But all I get for the missing BBC channels is the Switch box with ?channel could not be found? message. I get all the EPG against the missing BBC channels, but they just don?t work! The BBC BTVServices all seem to be working okay as well as BBC parliament. All the other FTA and S*y etc channels are working fine.

I look after boxes for a couple of friends and they have the same problem!

Any ideas?

Also, is there anyone in the same area getting the BBC channels, if so what image are you using?

Well I?ve just downloaded 'Digital Kaos v1.1' and working keys etc. and overwritten the DW2.0 image. I didn?t run Flash Erase before installing the new image. I?ve run Bruteforce and Sym6952 which is my area and everything is working except the BBC channels still!

Should I have run Flash Erase before installing the new image?

Is there a manual scan I could do for these BBC channels?

It seems a few of you are having better luck than i am.
I had to leave my box alone when i went to work,came back and virtually all the channels had mysteriously re-appeared ?
BUT ------- I had 54 BBC1's 34 BBC2's 68 ITV1's 34 CH4's 15 CH5's Plus every other channel was either in duplicate or triplicate with a load of garbage listings too.The all services list was a total nightmare to navigate,after deleting all the rubbish,leaving only the channels that worked the box rebooted itself ? and the whole mess was back.I gave up and decided to wipe the lot and start afresh.Up to this point in time i still have nothing at all on my box,i'm begining to run out of ideas but will try scanning on 6887 later to see if that helps.
What i would like to know is -- what the hell happened

Don't know if anybody can help me at a total loss at what to do. When the box went down the other day I did a really supid thing a did a factory reset BIG MISTAKE! I have managed to start from the beginning, loaded dK v.1 and transfered the key info over but still only get blank screen on most channels can only get BBC1,2,3,4, ITV1 C4 and 5 CBBC and CBeebies. Please I really need some help. I have been trying to sort this for the past two nights. Really fed up now.

Have you started the cam by holding down the info button for 3 seconds and selecting Evocamd 2.12??

Yes tried that. I have also tried brute scan and local area scan.

Are you are sure you have put the magic files in the correct folders, double check as there are some similarly named sub-folders which you could have mistakenly put the files in. There is a very concise tutorial on here somewhere.

The only other thing I can think of is, have you left the box on say S*y Sports1 for a couple of minutes to wait for the keys to auto-update? Until this happens you?ll just get black blank screens although the EPG will be showing what?s on.

I had this one time I misplace the keys in the wrong part, so I restarted and did it in the right folder. Also check your signal maybe below so you need a booster.

Yep done all the above. I Presume the files are in the right folders as I followed the idiots guides to newbies. The only thing I can think of is my key updater is outof date is this possible? If so can someone give me the link for the new one. Thanks

Have you overwritten the bin file in the scee folder with the november 2008 fix?

No I don't think so. The ones I have are dated April 2008

Download the chatterbox toolbar, you can get it from there. Overwrite your file with the update file.

Thanks for helping me I really appreciate it. Sorry if a appear a bit thikc its been 3 years since I did all this. When I have replaced the files and reconnected my box do I have to rescan or just restart and put it on Sky Sports 1?
