Dreambox DM 500-C - Newb help

1st you need to flash the digital kaos image onto your dreambox. you need a null modem cable and dreamup software (from d/load section)
guide is in there as well total noobs guide that shoul;d get you up and running.

a null modem cable on ebay will set you back about ?3 . Well worth having for the future, and when things go tits up, you will need one.

I thought I would randomly try flashwizard, and it actually worked! I think it's even easier to use than flashFXP.

I uploaded the image. And the menu has changed to the digital kaos skin... etc. So I think that is sorted.

But I then went to do a scan. I tried two scans; one in my area and one bruteforce UK. After both scans not all the channels came up. Only like bbc, itv...etc.

Can anyone help me again please.

yeah, have always done this. They still didn't come up....

The follow Devilfish instructions here - ftp to the dream then:-

Copy contents of Keys folder to /var/keys
Copy contents of Scce folder to /var/scce
Go to Sky Sports 1
Hold INFO for more than 3 secs to bring up EMU manager, press OK.
Wait for a minute or so and the picture will display

I used this advice from another thread and now it has finally worked!!!
