The power supplies that DVBSeller provide with the Dreambox 500 are utter rubbish.
Out of about 25 boxes bought off them among myself and my friends every one of them has had a blown power supply some after a few days ,some after a week.
Every supply has blown .
I've bought off other suppliers and never had a faulty psu ,most of them were 700 series units.
The ones on dvbseller are 803 series and are shite.
I reckon myself they are faulty batches sold cheaply.

thats right fano . a m8 got a few box,s and he works in quality control in his job and he recons the are returns from db [qenuine box,s that did not pass quality control] any way on the psu prob, he had the same issue. what he did was open it up and it looked very dry so he resoldered all points and has no probs since. hope this helps m8.

I had the same problem bought a couple of boxes from same sellerin the past and had the same error, error mem crc32 from box not equal to local crc32. I took the top off and reversed the ribbon on the main board (as per attached pic)
and it reflashed for me. also look out for dirt on the mainboard I have had this problem also which has caused problems. Dont worry bout losing your warranty by taking the top off the box, The seller asks that you only return the mainboard to make postage cheaper when they fix
