dreambox 7025 not clearing

i have decided in my infinite dreambox wisdom to open up a new thread as to get started to running cable on my dreambox 7025

i have tried in vain to get up and runnning so im gonna start from scratch which image works best with uk cable and which emu is best anyone who has a system with no glitches i would like to here from

i live in hope i have been trying for days thanks a lot to anyone who helped on the last post esp. westkill your a legend (i still have mt LT the fifth and gemini stored on the cf card if anyone has any answers)

BUT I THINK ITS BEST TO START AGAIN AS I HAVE PROBABLY DONE A BIT TOO MUCH MESSING ABOUT

the answer may well have been in the post and been lost along the way devilfish as it never produced an answer to clearing the channels


i am after a clean install of an image which one im after i dont know yet recommendations please with working emus

as through a lot of pissing about with the configuration in the last post i have probably done more harm than good and it may never work

which is why the new post


by the way has RDI dreambox gone i couldn't find it today when looking for downloads

Hi try a older image for example gemini 3.10 or 3.20 and use evocamd 212 the best emu see if it clears for you

thanks zaf il try an older version of gemini i read somwere that someone couldnt get 3.7 gemini to work so they used 3.1 i think with evocam 2.12 il give it a whirl

one thing though b4 i start the link you attached comes in three parts do i put them in temp and install through add ons or do i insert them into the image itself ie bin to usr/bin script to usr/script uninstall into usr/uninstall

just extract the rar file it will give you a tarbz file put that in tmp folder and install via blue button

A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS THOUGH AS I AM MANUALLY INSTALLING I THOUGHT I WOULD INSTALL A COUPLE OF EXTRA CAMS IN CASE 2.12 DID NOT WORK I INSTALLED 2.13 NO PROBLEMS BUT WHEN I TRIED TO INSTALL MGCAM 1.3O IT ACTIVATED WHEN I USED THE ADD ON BUT DID NOT APPEAR IN THE CHANGE CAM SELECTION ONLY EVOCAM 2.12 AND 2.13 WERE THERE.WHEN I LOOKED THROUGH FTP I FILE APPEARED CALLED USR/LTEMU I DELETED TRIED TO REINSTALL AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN...........WHY IS THIS?

OBVIOUSLY IT HAS SOMETHING TO DO WITH LT I HAVE IT STORED ON THE CF CARD BUT WHY WILL IT NOT LET ME INSTALL MGCAM?

SECONDLY CAN I GET THE NOW AND NEXT EPG LIKE IN MY PREVIOUS GEMINI 3.7 VERSION?

THIRDLY THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED OUT IT TOOK A WHILE BUT WE GOT THERE IN THE END

thanks il have a look at that next time i connect the box up to the computer but 4 today im gonna enjoy it sort some boquets out and relax

but can a now and next epg be put in this gemini 3.10 image thanks

oh well il stick with what i got for now would i be right in thinking you can add full 7 day epg if you are connected to net

Hi if you want epg you will need to go back to gemini 370 now you know there is nothing wrong with your tuner signal is ok i would try gemini 370 again use the keys and roms from your current image and use these cams extract them so you get targz format and install via tmp
