DM500 DK V1.1

Hi.
Just flashed my box with DK V1.1. Transferd ok useing DCC, but all i get on the TV screen is the DK logo flashing on and off every few seconds. Also i cannot ftp to the box now, as DCC says the box IP is incorrect, and as i cant get into any menu on the box, i cant see or change the IP!
Please help!

sorry mate i answered your other post before i saw this one ,if your image is stuck on the logo it must be corrupt in some way , you need to download it from another source and try flashing the box again. if the image is corrupt and not working of course you wont get access to the menu and you cant set the ip .

i would love to, but as i keep trying to explain, i cant communicate with the box by ftp or telnet.

try a nabilosat image mate have a look here Free Dreambox Images and Dreambox Emulators Download Free Dreambox Images/Emulators download,The biggest directory for Images and Emulators download at dreamboxtool.com this site has all images and all dreambox tools etc . and use a null modem cable and dreamup to flash the box . by the way you will get dreamup here also .

you need to get your hands on a serial cable and flash using dreamup its slower but its the best way to safely flash a box
also no ip required

try dw_v2 . keys are allready loaded,, so no need to ftp magic files..,, just double check the keys are right.

Thanks all. Will buy a null cable, and try again. I was flashing via ethernet, and wonder if this is the propblem. will let you know how it goes.

Flashing VIA Ethernet is fine. Although when you get a failed flash like your one the only way to recover the image is by using the null modem cable and software called dreamup.

Thanks mate. Only problem now is, my computer doesnt have a rs332 port. Have to borrow a laptop.

You dont have a seriel port on your PC?

More chance of having one on tower than Laptop mate.

Spanish computer. Never found a tower in the last 4 years in Spain with a serial port, but plenty of laptops. Dont know why. is the dw_v2 an image, and if so, where do i locate it.
