the image was sent to me, i think with channels added. When i go into automatic scan, there are no plugins (brute scan etc)
Where can i get a clean download of v2.1.

no mate you have to scan ,if your on cable and go to to sky or sky sports1 that should be obvious (no offence mate ) even for satellite you need to scan for channels ,ok you will only get the free to air channels ,but its the same for cable . you need to scan always for cable or satellite .

yes, prety obviouse, but when i scan automatically, the box reboots straight away, and if i do a manual scan on the ssp1 transponder, nothing is picked up.
i have now done a factory reset, flashed with a good dk v1.1 image (kaos panel now works), ftp magic files to root/var/keys and scce. I now have no services, and scanning is the same as before. Is it possible nag3 is up and running in the ng11 area? Honestly, for the bedroom i would be happy with fta.

even with nagra 3 i would have thiought your box would still have some channels on it . are you sure you have a signal coming from the cable supplier and are you using a splitter ,take the splitter out and try scanning again . or disconnect the cable from your box and plug it in to your tv and choose a blank channel on the tv and do a scan for channels ,this should find free to air chanels but if not i would think you have no signal.

Andy you should choose brueforce scan on the DK 1.1 Image. Which is at the bottom of the list of areas.

This should bring up channels. Even FTA.

Under service searching. Auto transponder scan then choose your scan.

Go to bruteforce.

Also gives a list of all ares but ignore them till you have done your bruteforce scan.

Ok. am looking at the auto transponder page. Just shows me the sat, and the signal bars, nothing else. If i press ok, the box just reboots. On the manual scan page, it is full of options. One of them is use BAT. Is this the brute force option, because whatever i choose on this page and then press ok, it goes to the scanning page and just sits there.

Why is it showing you the sat?

Its a cable image.

How did you flash the box? With dreamup?

No. Thought it eas a bit strange showing the sats! Did it this time with DCC. Noticed there is an option for Sat or Cable. Will try to reflash on cable, but i am pretty sure when i flashed it yesterday at my brothers with dream up it was the same, showing the sats.

Hi mate. Just tried it with DCC in the cable option, and the box just keeps rebooting! Will take to to my bros later and try again with dreamup. Many thanks for your help mate, will let you know how it goes.
