    The above is a 6db attenator,you can buy them cheaper,the above is a ripoff price.
    Checkout the RED stickies massive amount of info and effort been put into them.

      Download evocamd 2.17c from this site and try that. Just ftp it into the var/tmp and then run. This has worked for me on a few boxes that have deen frezzing

            about 94% - 96% is spot on.

            could be Vir@in are playing around in your area.

            or you might be on a splitter coming from another splitter which will weaken your signal.

            Trying different cams , see if you can get one better than the others.

            check all your connections again, make sure everything is in order.

            Do you have a clone or original box, it has been known that some bad tuners in some of the original box, is yours push in or screw on tuner ?

              Just found out why my daughters box been doing this

              It might be overheating.

              i just solved my daughters freezing probs and loss of picture on her 500.

              it was sitting directly on top of a DVD player which was getting very hot.

              Ive stood the 500 upright so all vents are free from heat, and the pic has stopped messing up.
