dm500hd and st*rhub

i am new to cable and receiver technology. i was wondering if anybody tried using the dm500hd for sgst*rhub? any idea does it work? is the dvb-s2 tuner able to handle the signals or a different tuner is needed?

thanks for the prompt response mate.... figured out that i needed the version with either dvb-t or dvb-c tuner instead of the dvb-s2 which is for satellite reception only...

harky, thanks for creating this thread, really useful to sg users. btw, my dad is returning frm China with a dm500c clone, so to get it to work with SH just need to flash using the image u provided will do? then i see pple mention things like keys or wat? must i do anything abt that? btw, the image link seem to be gone? a million thanks in advance.

Anyone experience problem backing up an Dm500 image ?

I have connect the dm500 via null cable modem and it's working. When i click on backup, half way through the backup it's always pop up "backup error"

I have tried several version of DreamUp 1.335 or 1.334 and 1.321 . All give me the same error.

I have also tried using network cable to backup also give me same error.

I do not have access to the old image because the password of telnet is unknown to me hence wise to flash it.
