Late last year, I bought these 2 set top boxes for myself and my parents, much earlier before i knew of the DM500C.

Now these card expired end of July, I was quoted RMB 80 for the newer-gen AUcard for each of the DM900C-II and HQK3388, I wonder if the price is ok? Overpriced?

To offset the expensive courier fee, I would be ordering more of these cards. PM me if you are interested.

my set HQK3388 always anchored in one channel n it refused for selection of other channels. thinking of setup update it from another good working set (3388) through cable like DM900??.

any advice is much appreciated

Hi guys, i did a channel update as prompt by my unit.
after that, i lost all free to air channel and quite alot of other very important channel like chinese drama channel.

Did a NIT search but couldn't find them.

Lost now, please help :'(

Anyone facing this problem with HQK3388.

Pressing any channel related button will bring you to a preset channel.

Hit OK, navigate the channel to your preferred channel, press OK, but it bring u back to the default channel.

Pressing Setup, and Exit, it will bring you to this default channel instead of staying on your original viewing channel.

Anyone know how to resolve this problem?

Will flashing the *.AR files from FY resolve this problem?
Anyone tried?

I hv the similar problem too, wanting to try the file ***.rar fr FY, but cant unrar it as it was password protected , anyone could help to provide the password? thks.

Even we have the password to unrar the file. Is that a valid file? Does any one know how to flash the box? What application to use? Lastly will it work after flash? So far no one know.

Tested on winXP only.
It is not the .ar file alone. you need the 5105 rs323 comm software.
Even that, you need to set your winxp regional language to PRC Chinese so that the 5105comm can accept the .ar file which is from 650kb to850kb.

Remember to back-up the original .ar from the box or you flash the wrong .ar (bcos there are 5 manufacturers with different .ar) the box die.

HQK3388 are at least 1 yr old liao. can trow awat and buy new 1.
rename .ar to .bin and read it with hex/bin editor.

U r right, since it old enough and happened that i hv got the fy**.ar & 5015 .exe files, i am willing to try on mine set, pls pm me the password if u got one. thank u.
